Homeopathy "Like cures Like" was originally discovered and by the Greek physician Hippocrates in the 5th Century BC... Homeopathy laid dormant for centuries until Dr. Samuel Hahnemann entered the picture in the late 1700s when his work would begin to prove that "like can cure like". Many chemists, alchemists and physicians were also curious and began their studies and provings as well. Because of those that went before us we have a tremendous amount of research and guidance to be able to continue to use homeopathy for health and restorative purposes.

Taking Homeopathic Correctly

When taking a homeopathic remedy, you'll place a dose under your tongue . Be sure your mouth is clean of any food. Wait at least 20 minutes before & after eating or drinking before taking a dose.

Arnica is a small yellow flower that grows in the mountains of Europe and Siberia. The homeopathic preparation of arnica montana is excellent first-aid remedy for moderate to severe bruising, swelling and pain. The small sucrose pellet goes under your tongue. You can also find Arnica gel or cream in most grocery stores now and can apply it directly to a bruise or sore muscles.

Calendula Officianalis
for cuts and abrasions

This homeopathic preparation is a common garden flower that has natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula cream can be found in most grocery stores now. Clean the wound and apply calendula along with a sterile dressing. You can also take Calendula as a tincture or small pellets under the tongue for additional support for healing, follow the directions on the tube or call our office for a consult.

Apis Mellifica
for stings

For that insect sting or bite, Apis Mel is a wonderful relief! Be sure to check for and remove the stinger if it is still there, tweezers are usually best. When the site of the sting is hot, red and swollen, Apis is a good choice. The small sucrose pellets go under the tongue to dissolve. The remedy is already in the pellet so don't touch it with your fingers, just use the cap to put it in your mouth.
